Ben Ling is an International Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch. He works on a Father/Son Team helping individuals, families, and small businesses to achieve their financial goals. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley where he had been actively involved with the fraternity Alpha Xi Omega as the Historian, Director of Academic & Philanthropic Affairs, Treasurer, Judicial Committee Head, and Social Chair.
After graduation, he attended National Taiwan Normal University's Mandarin Training Center, at which time he concurrently served as a staff assistant for the Office of the Vice President of Taiwan (Annette Lu). He assisted in the first Democratic Pacific Assembly Preparatory meeting that led to the formation of the NGO, Democratic Pacific Union. Previous to being involved with TAP, he was also a product of leadership development programs of TACL as an attendee at LID camps, and a college Political Intern in Washington D.C. for Congressman Howard Berman.
He went on to be a staff member for camp, and mentor, Alumni Relations Director, Selection Committee member, and Mentor Coordinator for the Political Internship. Currently he is a Board Member for TACL's LA Chapter. For TAP, he previously served as the Professional Chair, Vice President, and was a two term President from 2006-2008. His contributions include expanded community involvement, Constitution revisions, and new Chapter establishments. He enjoys movies, reading, sports (tennis, basketball, golf), dining, dancing, and traveling in his spare time.
